- Deterministic Engineering Tools for AI Assistants (2026) — A TypeScript Model Context Protocol server that gives AI assistants five deterministic mechanical-engineering tools, replacing plausible guesses with validated, checkable calculations.
- Actuator Performance Analyzer (August 2026) — A reproducible Python and MATLAB workflow that turns measured PID encoder data into step-response metrics and shows the tradeoff between integral gain, overshoot, and steady-state error.
- Cantilever FEA Validation (July 2026) — Validated a 6061-T6 aluminum cantilever in ANSYS Mechanical against Fusion 360 and Euler-Bernoulli beam theory under a 444.82 N end load, matching hand calculations within 3.8% for stress and 4.4% for deflection.
- Competition Robot (Sept to Nov 2024) — A compact robot that drives, rotates an arm, and grasps objects with a geared claw. Engineered end to end from concept sketches through scored competition runs using Fusion 360, GD&T, Soldering, and quasi-static force analysis.
- eVTOL Wildfire-Response Quadcopter (Nov 2024 to June 2025) — Remote-controlled electric VTOL quadcopter optimized for wildfire response: waypoint navigation, precision hover, and payload delivery, driven by a full avionics and Power Distribution stack.
- Leading-Edge Slat Aerodynamics (Jan to Mar 2026) — How a custom leading-edge slat changes flow over a NACA 8612 airfoil at high angle of attack. Hele-Shaw flow visualization validated against ANSYS Fluent CFD.
- Pin-Fin Heat Sink Characterization (Jan to Mar 2026) — Convective heat transfer characterization of a bare plate and two pin-fin arrays across free convection, forced laminar, and forced turbulent flow regimes, simulated in Fusion 360.
- Escapement Pendulum Clock (Dec 2024 to Feb 2025) — A working acrylic pendulum-and-escapement clock designed as a sculptural form. Modeled in Fusion 360 and AutoCAD, then Laser Cutting the parts and comparing two rigid-body timing models against measured behavior.
- Rotational Position Control (PID Tuning) (Winter 2026) — Modeled a 2-DOF torsional control system on real DSP-controlled hardware and tuned a PID controller by root locus design, closing a steady-state error the calculated gains left unresolved.
